Location in which the largest radio telescope in the world is completely mobile (unlike others, such as Arecibo in Puerto Rico, which are fixed).
It has a disk-shaped antenna with a diameter of 100 meters and is located in a mountainous area of West Germany, about 40 km. West of Bonn.
The radio telescope is run by the Max Planck Institute of radio astronomy and has been in operation since 1971.
